Canyoning
Not sure what canyoning is? In a nutshell it involves jumping into fast flowing mountain streams and letting the water carry you along, with a bit of swimming involved as well.
This is a super fun activity and is completely safe; although it is recommended that you only take part with a trained guide who knows the routes and can provide you with all the safety gear.
How about taking it up a notch with Canyon Xtreme? Organised by Snowdonia Adventure Activities, it involves bigger jumps and bigger waterfalls so it’s not one for the faint hearted.

The Full Day Adventure Course is perfect for a day out with family or friends. Or take it up a notch with the Wild Camp Survival course - an 18 hour overnight course where you can put your skills into practice. Beacon Climbing Centre
Beacon Climbing Centre is the largest indoor climbing centre in North Wales and caters to all levels of ability. And because it’s all indoors, you can go and climb anytime of the year. If you don’t fancy climbing there’s also a seating area overlooking the climbing walls so you can relax and watch the rest of your group.
If you’re new to climbing or have young children, CrazyClimb is a great introduction to indoor climbing, and fun too!
Ice Climbing
Once the temperatures have dropped, ice climbing is the perfect winter activity and the area offers the ideal conditions, but approach with caution! This activity is not suitable for beginners.
For those looking to give it a try, it’s always best to sign up to a course with trained instructors who can keep you safe and make sure you’ve got the right equipment. For example, Snowdonia Adventures run guided winter climbs in Snowdonia National Park.
